| As important as our water are the containers we keep it
in. At Hawaiian Isles Water Company we manufacture
our own PolyEtheleneTrichorate (PET) plastic bottles to
ensure that our water is packaged and preserved in the finest-quality
containers. |
| |
| Step One: |
Bottle preforms are heated to extremely high temperatures
in preparation for blowing. When heated, the preforms
are placed between the halves of our custom bottle mold,
which closes securely. Hot air is blasted into the opening
at the top, causing the hot plastic to expand and conform
to the shape of the mold.
|
| |
| Step Two: |
The halves of the mold separate and the newly-formed
bottles are removed by remote-controlled clamps. They
cool quickly.
|
| |
| Step Three: |
|
The new bottles are lined up and distributed onto specially-designed
rollers which automatically affix the slip-on, glueless
labels to our clear, rounded bottles. |
| |
| Step Four: |
|
The finished bottles go onto cardboard shipping pallets
which are wrapped and sealed to keep the bottles clean for
delivery. |
| |
| Step Five: |
|
The packaged bottles are stored in preparation for delivery
to our water processing facility. Our warehouse stores thousands
of bottles of all shapes and sizes. |
